To enhance the healthy development of children,
youth and their families through positive mentoring relationships.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is always looking for
volunteers. There are so many children ages 6 to 18 who are
waiting for a Big. By volunteering you are not only helping us
strengthen our organization, but also our community.
- In-School Mentoring is a site based program operated
in conjunction with local schools. The volunteer spends one
hour each week, during the lunch hour, at one of our elementary or
junior high schools. It is a small time commitment and high
school students can volunteer for this program.
- Big Brothers Big Sisters are adults aged 18 and
older. They are volunteers who want to enrich the life of a
young person. They usually spend about three hours a week
together. Sometimes they just hang out and talk but often they
play sports together, learn a craft, or attend an event together.
- Couples for Kids is the same idea as our Bigs programs, but instead of an individual being matched with a
Little, a couple (must have been together at least 2 years) is matched with a Little
and the three of them spend time together.
